Membership

The Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association (BMAA) is a group of amateur astronomers working together to improve astronomical knowledge and appreciation as well as observation and astrophotography skills. Most of our meetings and events are open to the public and membership is not required to participate. However, there are specific benefits of BMAA membership:

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Membership in the Astronomical League  which includes access to the Astro League observing programs and a mailed copy of their publication “Reflector”.
  • Access to the Tohikon Boat Launch Area at Lake Nockamixon State Park outside of normal park hours.
  • Access to member-only Starwatch Parties.
  •  Access to BMA2@groups.io , the BMAA member-only internet-based communication forum. Here members can post messages, share pictures and communicate in real time with the group. It is also used by the club for communicating club business and activities to our members.

Anyone is invited to join BMAA.

The annual membership fee is $30 (individual) or $40 (family.)

Memberships are issued on an annual basis, and are valid from January 1st. (or from the day fee is received) thru December 31st. . Memberships must be renewed by January 1st..

New members that join the Club during the months of October, November and December will have their membership extended to include the entire following year.
