DESCRIPTION:BMAA is inviting you to a scheduled Monthly Meeting.\nIn addition to our regular agenda items there will be a Special Presentation on “Electronically assisted observing” by Gary Sprague\nThis special presentation will describe approaches for using video cameras to augment visual observing. This is a “hybrid” approach to visual observing using elements of imaging with a video camera. It can be relatively easy and affordable (compared to standard astrophotography). Video cameras (camcorders\, webcams\, etc.) are numerous; they use CCD’s smaller than DSLR and can obtain multiple images/minute. Images can be viewed immediately using a video monitor or they can be output to a computer. The presentation will describe typical equipment available and demonstrate one particular approach. \nPlease use the entrance to the right of the main entrance\, look for the yellow and black BMAA sign.
