Our astronomers will have telescopes available to look through and will be on hand to answer questions. \nThe event opens at 7:00 PM with Pre-Moon Watch Activities followed by viewing the Moon through telescopes at 7:30 PM. SUMMARY:BMAA Monthly Meeting: Smart Telescopes: Technology and Experiences
DESCRIPTION:BMAA is inviting you to a scheduled Monthly Meeting.\nIn addition to our regular agenda items there will be a Special Presentation “Smart Telescopes: Technology and Experiences” by Co-VP John Urbanchuk.  \nSmart telescopes appear to have taken the amateur astronomy world by storm. Rapid advances in optic design and product development led by ZWO Seestar line and DwarfLabs Dwarf 3\, Dwarf Mini and recently introduced Draco are making astronomy in general and astrophotography in particular more available to a wider audience enticed by  reasonable cost of entry and ease of use. This presentation led by BMAA Co-VP John Urbanchuk will describe current smart telescope technology\, review the pros and cons of smart telescopes\, and discuss what new technologies may be on the horizon. The Dwarf Mini donated to BMAA and various Seestar models will be demonstrated by BMAA members. The presentation will end with a group discussion aimed at answering the question “ what would you most like to see in a new smart telescope”?\nPlease use the entrance to the right of the main entrance\, look for the yellow and black BMAA sign.

DESCRIPTION:BMA2 is participating in the annual Ambler Temple Campout Event organized by Temple University. Volunteers from our club will be on campus with telescopes and information relative to the club and to the hobby.\nThis is the Sept. 19 rescheduled event and registration is required.\nJoin us on Saturday Oct. 17th\, during the Temple University Camp Out Event in Ambler.\nBefore you go  \nIf you plan to spend the night at the Temple Organized campout\, please be advised that it is an all-weather event and will be held rain or shine.
