Monthly Meetings

 

Our club holds monthly meetings at 7:30pm on the first Wednsday of the month. Meetings typically consist of lectures and demonstrations on astronomy, astronomical events, and discussions about equipment, techniques and observing experiences.

The meetings are open to the public and every one is welcome to attend in person or via Zoom.
Meeting location: Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, 411 Susquehanna Rd, Ambler, PA 19002

Use the entrance to the right of the main entrance, look for the yellow and black BMA2 sign.

Starwatches

BMAA holds monthly free public stargazing events from May through October to provide an opportunity to share observing experiences with club members and others. Come and you can discuss astronomy, observation, and equipment with club members, observe through different telescopes and learn about the night sky as members make their instruments available to the public and provide assistance with others instruments.

Star Watches are free public stargazing events held at the Tohickon Boat Launch area at Lake Nockamixon State Park from March to November. Check our calendar for the current schedule.

LOCATION: Tohickon Boat Launch area in Lake Nockamixon State Park.

Public Starwatches will resume on March 14, 2026.

Outreach Events

The Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association conducts astronomy-related educational Outreach and Educational Programs geared for various age levels from children to adults for schools, libraries, youth groups, corporations, parks and civic organizations at no charge.

We are rather busy in the warmer months with Starwatch programs, Winter scheduling is often more flexible. We are sometimes booked months ahead.
